Delfin lll (formerly Amazon Discovery) is a deluxe expedition vessel built in traditional riverboat style with a large range of facilities, guided excursions and gourmet cuisine.

Delfin’s fleet of innovative expeditionary vessels Delfin I and Delfin II) and now Delfin III (ex Amazon Discovery) explores the tributaries of the Amazon river, the protected forests along its banks and the communities which speckle the shoreline. Externally, they resemble the traditional Amazon riverboats which you can still see moored on the quays of river ports and which are still the principal form of transport for goods and people in the region. The boats have been designed, however, to maximise the jungle experience of guests, with massive floor-to-ceiling picture windows in the sleek contemporary cabins and public areas allowing unobstructed views of the riverbanks, islands, and the wildlife – especially the birds flitting along the water’s surface or between the trees of the forest canopy.

Delfin III is the largest and most economical of the three but does not sacrifice quality in terms of the facilities and service. There’s a choice of air-conditioned suite types over three decks: all are spacious and light, with robes and slippers telescope and lots of storage space. There’s plenty to keep you busy, with naturalist presentations, cultural shows, Peruvian cookery classes, a spa offering exotic hot stone massages; coffee, chocolate and avocado experiences; a sun deck with yoga area, a plunge pool and small gym. All this in addition to daily wildlife spotting small-boat guided excursions.
