Affordable yet stylish and comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes beneath Machu Picchu with an emphasis on quality and minimalism.

Taking its inspiration from the template of minimalist boutique properties, El Mapi is uncompromisingly contemporary in style, eschewing the colourful textiles and Inca motifs typical of most Peruvian accommodation. Instead, the predominant colour is white and natural light filters in through panoramic windows.

Guestrooms are comfortable, spacious and well-equipped, with quality linens and bathrobes. The hotel also has a gift shop, a smart café serving organic food and a bar offering a selection of cocktails.

El MaPi is owned by the prestigious Peruvian luxury hotel group Inkaterra, and is a flagship of its new affordable range of properties. These hotels are more accessible to those on a modest budget but still offer the high standards and unique ambience which are the cornerstones of the Inkaterra portfolio.

Inkaterra Hotels have Climate Positive certification with initiatives including reforestation of native trees, conservation of spectacled bears, energy efficiency and work with local communities. The group also funds an Amazon Research Station in Peru, staffed by scientists and volunteers.
