Hotel Rio Miel is a decent mid-range option with a seafront location in Baracoa.

Hotel Rio Miel, offers comfy and bright mid-range accommodation on the seafront promenade in the coastal town of Baracoa. There are 12 classically furnished guest rooms set over three floors (no lift), each accommodating a maximum of two people, with air conditioning and private bathroom. In room facilities are pretty good for a hotel of this type in Cuba: satellite TV, minibar, safety box, telephone and balcony. What our clients say

  • The hiking tour above Topes de Collantes lead by Valentine was fantastic. Wonderful sights and sounds lead by an experienced guide with a good sense of humour.

    DM, Edinburgh Apr 2015
  • Most memorable experiences: "The PEOPLE - lovely and warm, friendly, positive. The music and the dancing - in streets, in clubs, in bars. Wonderful!"

    MF, London May 2015
  • Highlight?: Rafting in Tena

    RF, Dorking Apr 2018
  • All places were well worth visiting for their particular character etc. Our over-riding memory was of the lovely people we met and the sounds and rhythms of Cuba.

    IB, Chesterfield Apr 2016
  • The food was better than we had feared (but they routinely overcook seafood, so stick with chicken) and there was more English spoken than we had expected. Weather was great.…

    PR, Edinburgh Feb 2013
  • Driving was fascinating & not too stressful due to lack of traffic . We felt we saw bits of CUBA not seen by many tourists.
