Calanoa is a beautiful jungle lodge, just an hour's boat ride from Leticia in Colombia's Amazon region.

This beautiful, well-run lodge offers spacious accommodation, great food and imaginative excursions. Owned by renowned artist and photographer Diego Samper, Calanoa Lodge has rustic cabins with river or jungle views.

Cabins can accommodate 6-8 people in separate bedrooms on different floors, but couples or smaller families may have cabins all to themselves. The cabins have comfortable beds with good quality linen, mosquito netting and private bathrooms. The sides of some cabins are open with just netting to protect from insects, providing an authentic jungle experience.

Food is very good and meals are taken in a communal dining room. There is electricity all day from solar panels. Excursions are led by local non-English speaking indigenous guides but we will arrange for an English-speaking guide to accompany you.

The charming, friendly indigenous community Mocagua, famed for its art, is just a 20-minute walk away.
