Hotel Cabo de Hornos, situated in a large prestigious building on the central Plaza de Armas, is one of Punta Arenas’ most venerable institutions, for decades the most upmarket hotel in town.
Nowadays, there is some competition but it remains an excellent choice for comfort, good quality rooms and amenities. The hotel has a classic design and approach with a formal atmosphere befitting its longstanding reputation.
The 110 rooms are set on seven floors. Each room has a shower and bathtub in the bathroom, and there are double and triple rooms ideal for families.
The ground floor restaurant holds regular themed evenings with a frequently changing menu. Other facilities include a sauna, bar and small museum.
