Sleek, contemporary property in a spectacular location overlooking the subtropical jungle and the Iguazú and Paraná rivers.

Ever since its refurbishment some years ago we’ve been impressed with the Panoramic Hotel Iquazu, whose modern design and décor are unique in the area. It has a spectacular location, with unobstructed views over the water and forest from a hilltop overlooking the Iguazú and Paraná rivers. From here it is 30-minutes drive to the Argentine side of the Iguazú Falls.

The building’s original 1940s façade has been preserved, but everything else about the design and fittings of this hotel is assuredly contemporary: clean lines, strong colours in the public areas, a patio with a striking water feature and a sleek swimming pool with jungle views.

Guestrooms are fairly compact, with a clean, muted colour scheme and stylish, up-to-date bathrooms. Each either faces the river or the gardens. There are two restaurants, a fifth floor bar with stupendous views and a fine ground floor terrace. There is also a large outdoor pool overlooking a beautiful subtropical panorama, and a lounge, small casino, gym and spa.
